Job Summary
Elizabethtown Community & Technical College is seeking an instructor for the Auto/Diesel program with the ability and desire to teach courses that provide instruction on the skills needed to maintain diagnose and repair latemodel cars trucks agriculture equipment and construction equipment. The faculty teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester. The assignment may include evening and weekend hours as well as teaching at all ECTC satellite campuses. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to teaching and learning working with diverse populations and growing the Colleges mission and vision.
The assignment period is fulltime for 10 months (AugustMay).

Position Requirements:
Education & Experience: Associates degree in a related field and a minimum of five years of experience as a technician in either the Automotive or Agriculture Equipment Repair Construction Equipment Repair or Medium/Heavy Truck Repair sector. ASE certification is required to be considered.
Applicants must be currently ASE certified in Automotive areas or Truck areas and be willing to attain master status with Automotive (A1A8 and Truck (T2T8 within 6 months of employment.

Successful candidates should demonstrate:
The ability to use Blackboard for communication and feedback curriculum development course design and student outcome assessment.
Ability to teach all Automotive and Diesel Technology courses within the program.
Represent the program and college at recruiting events serve on committees and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
The ability to teach in a professional enthusiastic and organized manner to reach as many students as possible.
Strong communication and relationship building skills.
