ResponsibilitiesWhat youll do...
- Lead Maintenance and engineering teams in scheduling staffing procurement and maintenance of Paint Department equipment and automation
- Lead Project Writing and process of collecting and evaluating data in sound businesscases.
- Coach Counsel and Teach the teams GSRs to handle and lead multidollar projects.
- Coordinates the resources and activities of ME organization to meet the production schedule within budgetary limitations and timeconstraints.
- Participates in maintenance scheduling staffing procurement and maintenance of equipment quality control inventory control and the coordination of activities with those of otherdepartments.
- Analyzes the plants personnel and capital resources to select the best ways of meeting the productionquota.
- Monitors the production run to make sure that it stays on schedule and correct any problems that mayarise.
- Promotes and ensure constant improvement in the ME organization toward the common goal of improving product quality plant competitiveness and total coststructure.
- Ensures department complies with government/industrystandards.
- Ensures department production processes meet all Global Paint Engineering quality control plan requirements and Ppktargets.
- Coordinate the resources and activities required to ensure problem freestartup.
- Facilitate startup / shift to shiftmeetings!
- Help develop targets and then deliver FPS metrics for each of the Safety Quality Delivery Cost People Maintenance and Environment operatingsystems.
- Promote and support Small TeamworkGroups
- Champion constraint analysis and coordinate activities to eliminate thebottlenecks.
- Ensure deliverables are aligned with VIM Action Matrix 5year plan and monthly Executive Throughput JPH Constraint Package
- Establish the goal of maximizing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) with continuous improvement of Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) metrics to improveproductivity.
- Review/approve PM activities and ensure 100 PMcompletion.
- Address department Health and Safety concerns
- Review department safety measurables & coordinate improvement activities
QualificationsYoull have...
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering Electrical Mechanical Industrial or other
- Experience: 5 years in maintenance and engineering
- Some experience in Production
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact with all employees in the organization
- In depth experience in assembly manufacturing processes
- Strong working knowledge of the Ford Production System
- Strong communication and problem solving skills including working knowledge of Six Sigma
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead empower and develop employees
- Demonstrated conflict management skills
- Strong analytical problem solving and organization skills
- Ability to work closely and successfully with others in order to deliver results
- Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in ONE FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal teambuilding and communicationskills.

- Experience: Previous Paint manufacturing background
- Knowledge of Factory Information Systems (FIS)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of constraint management principles

- Prior experience managing a unionized workforce.
