SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are seeking a driven Project Manager for our building services team. The Project Manager will be responsible for running projects along the I81 corridor from Shippensburg PA to Harrisonburg VA. Previous knowledge with selfperformed concrete framing and finishes is highly preferred as well as a familiarity with all trades involved in building construction.
A successful candidate shall have a minimum of five years of commercial building related project management experience along with an Engineering or Construction Management degree or equivalent background with applicable experience.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Read and interpret complex construction documents and drawings.
- Review organize maintain and process contract documents and shop drawings.
- Originate and/or review submit log and distribute RFIs and the RFI responses
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
- Work closely with operations to optimize field staff and construction means and methods.
- Must be willing to direct and enforce job site safety.
- Oversee field supervision and assist in monitoring job site quality.
- Responsible for submittals and project documentation.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and material vendors.
- Interface with clients to effectively communicate progress of the project and manage contractual obligations.
- Maintain client relations as needed for repeat business.
- Acute attention to detail and experience with deadlines pursuant to schedule as well as coordination of phasing or sequencing of work.
- Daily travel may be required overnight travel is not anticipated.
- Perform other related duties as required.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- A fouryear degree in engineering or construction management.
- 5 years of experience as a project manager in the commercial building construction sector.
- Knowledge of local area and clientele.
- Proficiency in Primavera (P6 is required.
- Must be selfmotivated and able to work independently.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Strong computer skills are required.
- A willingness to learn is required.
- Knowledge of both OSHA safety regulations is preferred.
