APPLIED MECHANICS RESEARCH GROUP DeustoTech at the University of Deusto

DeustoTech Deusto Institute of Technology is the technological research centre of the University of Deusto located on the Bilbao campus whose mission is to promote research training and knowledge transfer at the service of society and industry.

The selected candidate will join the research activity related to ultrasonic technologies and their novel applications. In particular she/he will participate in an exciting new line of research based on the development of noncontact ultrasonic technologies as novel noninvasive and fast techniques for battery cell characterization and testing. With the rapid growth of the energy storage sector nextgeneration battery technologies demand innovative methods to collect valuable information from battery cells in operando in a nondestructive way as well as to assist at key stages of the manufacturing line or even at endoflife for sorting prior to recycling.

We offer the opportunity to work on an emerging and highimpact research topic bridging scientific knowledge generation with industrial applications. The expected findings and results will be actively disseminated through conferences seminars and consortium meetings both nationally and internationally as well as through publications in highimpact scientific journals.

2.1 Enrollment at a University of Deusto PhD programme or admissions letter for the 2025/2026 academic year.

2.2 Official academic transcript of previous official university studies 1st and 2nd cycle) even if they are currently being taken issued by the corresponding unit. The academic certificate must state the name of the degree programme the subjects that make up the course syllabus the subjects passed the grades obtained and the dates on which they were obtained. The transcript should show the average mark from 0 to 10.

If the studies have been completed abroad an official academic certificate must be submitted as well as a sworn translation thereof provided that it is not in one of the two coofficial languages of the Basque Autonomous Community or in English. In all cases the certificate or other supporting document must state the maximum and minimum grades within the corresponding assessment system and the minimum grade required to pass. In addition the Statement of equivalence of average grade of the Spanish Ministry of Education Culture and Sport (MECD) or ANECAs official certificate indicating the average grade of the academic transcript within the Spanish evaluation system must be submitted.
