Position Summary
The Division of Allergy has four clinic sites across the STL metro with 12 clinical faculty and 2 nurse practitioners. Our patients are primarily adults who are evaluated and treated for allergy and immunologic conditions. Allergy offers a wide array of therapies include immunotherapy biologics and IVIG infusions.
Allergys nurse coordinator team is currently comprised of six registered nurses who provide clinical backend support for our clinical providers. Nurse coordinators typically work autonomously with oversight from a nurse supervisor and their assigned faculty either in the clinic setting or remotely from home.
A general overview of the work includes; triaging patient phone calls and messages coordinating patient treatment orders and prior authorizations coordinating patient allergy care and providing education on allergy/immunology diseases and treatments.
This position has the opportunity for hybrid scheduling after six months of successful employment. The hybrid schedule consists of two days WFH and three days inclinic from 8a.m. 4:30p.m.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care including assessment planning implementation and evaluation of patients; completes health history and physical examination on patients; conveys findings to physician.
- Coordinates patient care orders diagnostic tests conveys findings to physician attends inpatient rounds coordinates patient appointments and assists with referrals to outside sources.
- Assists physician and provides support with examinations procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.
- Performs a variety of nursing administrative duties including compliance with environmental safety regulations infection control standards and quality assurance.
- Acts as liaison and team leader by facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients families and health team members; explains routines and procedures to patients and coordinates patient care information to appropriate sources.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois depending on location in accordance with the Compact Act.
- Basic Life Support Certification or obtains certification within one month of employment. Online BLS certifications those without a skills assessment component are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements.

Salary Range
$60800.00 $105700.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including ones qualifications and performance equity with others in the department market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
