About the Role
The Behaviour and Emotional Health Team is the starting point of the referral pathway for children where there are queries regarding possible neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism (ASD) and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) who are registered with a Nottingham City GP. Nottingham City Council has been awarded the contract to deliver this service by the Integrated Care Board (ICB) until the 31st March 2028.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Specialist Practitioner to join our team in Nottingham during an exciting time of transformation and development. Our service is evolving to better meet the needs of children young people and their families and we are looking for a dynamic individual to help us achieve this vision.
The successful candidates will use their specialist knowledge of ASD & ADHD to; Screen referrals to assess risk and triage them to identify the most appropriate support. Complete face to face and observations assessments gather pertinent information related to the child/young person and their identified needs as well as deliver a range of evidence based programmes and advice to parents and carers.

This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for the role.
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
