Job Description
APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PARTTIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM SO APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.
BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES DEPARTMENT PARTTIME LECTURER POOL
The Biological Sciences Department in the College of Science at San Jos State University is accepting applications for a pool of parttime lecturers from our local geographic area. Positions available as determined by need during Fall Winter and/or Spring quarters of the 202021 academic year. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications teaching experience and time base. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the Biological Sciences Department.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Terminal degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline preferred.

The Biological Sciences Department offers programs leading to Bachelor of Science degrees in Biological Sciences Marine Sciences and Microbiology; minors in Biology Microbiology and Biotechnology; and a Master of Science degree. The department also offers courses to satisfy general education and breadth requirements.
