The Division of Juvenile Justice is recruiting to fill a Social Services Associate position in Fairbanks at Fairbanks Juvenile Probation.

What You Will Be Doing:

Assist Juvenile Probation Officers in the Fairbanks and Utqiagvik Juvenile Probation offices by providing a full range of clerical/support services and limited intake and field supervision duties. Establish and maintain case files and Juvenile Offender Management Information System files to meet compliance guidelines. Maintain office supplies assist with timesheets travel booking and other duties as assigned. This position also serves as the Northern Region Medicaid designee.

The Social Service Associate serves as a first point of contact as well as a community liaison to keep the office running smoothly.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:

This position is colocated with the Fairbanks Youth Facility a 24hour juvenile detention and treatment facility located in Fairbanks Alaska. This is a fulltime position Monday through Friday with a 7.5hour workday. Social Services Associates may have the opportunity to travel in and outofstate periodically to assist in the duties of the office.

One year of any combination of postsecondary or vocational education and/or experience in assisting clients customers the general public or other staff in the explanation and application of guidelines policies or services.
