Job Summary

As a Test Engineer with the Nidec Aerospace team you will have the opportunity to apply and develop your expertise to design electric propulsion systems for the batterypowered aircrafts that will enable the world to sustainably and efficiently get from point A to point B.Job Description
As a Test Engineer within the Nidec Aerospace business unit you will be playing a crucial role in designing setting up operating and maintaining test benches used for validating the performance and reliability of electrical propulsion systems and high voltage components.
Additionally you will serve as a role model for adherence to health and safety standards conducting daily inspections and implementing protocols to maintain a secure testing environment.
Responsibilities & Duties
Develop and set up dynamometer test rigs for evaluating electrical motors according to product specifications and testing needs.
Manage the operation of dynamometer test rigs to perform tests on a variety of electrical motors.
Diagnose and fix technical problems related to test setups equipment and data acquisition systems.
Work with design and development teams to provide feedback on motor performance and suggest improvements.
Ensure all testing procedures adhere to safety regulations and meet company quality standards.
Manage maintenance and calibration of test equipment and instruments to guarantee precise and reliable results.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
5 years of relevant experience
BSc in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Strong background of electrical engineering principles to ensure safety and reliability in highvoltage environments.
Experience in setup and operation of dynamometer test rigs propulsion rigs or lab cars.
Proficient in the selection operation and maintenance of diverse test instruments including torque sensors speed measurement devices power analysers and thermal sensors to guarantee precise and reliable data acquisition and analysis.
Proficiency in executing test procedures for system integration and validation using protocols such as RS485 CAN ARINC429 and Ethernet.
Experienced working in HV systems environment with adherence to health and safety standards. (OSHA 29 CFR 1910 NR 10 BS EN 501101
