This role is Hybrid in the Denver Colorado OR Lubbock TX areas
Responsibilities:
In this role you will utilize design software to perform basic design engineering tasks supporting both underground and overhead electrical distribution projects for our client Xcel Energy. Additionally you will be responsible for submitting managing and maintaining permits as required by project needs. Your role will include managing workload and projects as well as assisting in the production of plans specifications reports diagrams and engineering documents from the preliminary scope to construction status. Field visits required project data collection and construction coordination and verification.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with electric distribution design 4kV 69kV) performing drafting and/or CAD design tasks
- Ability to travel weekly or biweekly within the specific region
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical degree or other advanced education training or certifications related to engineering design projects
- AutoCAD experience
- Experience utilizing GIS mapping software

Benefits & Salary:
- This position pays between $65000 $75500 and is an exempt position.
- Benefits offered include company sponsored medical dental vision and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement voluntary life disability critical illness accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.
