Description

** Applicants seeking parttime intermittent and limited to 89 day periods to work with the University of Hawaii at Manoa may apply for Exempt Hourly NonCivil Service positions at the Athletics Department. Due to the temporary nature of these appointments Exempt Hourly NonCivil employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular BOR and Civil Service employees (i.e. paid holidays/leave/night differential). The selectee must meet public employment requirements under 781Hawaii Revised Statute.

Full Time / Part Time: PartTime Temporary

Other Conditions: 89 day appointment not to exceed 19 hours/week. Continuous recruitment until programmatic needs are met.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Essential duties of the position

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read speak understand and follow written instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays to keep the pool within Department of Health standards during heavily used times at the pool.
  • Ability to swim 100 yards/meters without stopping tread water for three 3 minutes and surface dive under the lane line.
Desirable Experience: Some experience in cleaning preferred.
