You will influence the technical direction of the team working with many different technologies and organizations across AWS and Amazon.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to take a project from initial scoping to the launch.
Experience in designing and implementing largescale distributed systems.
Demonstrated ability to distill problem definitions models and constraints from informal business requirements and to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives.
Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and technical disagreements while leading the team to the optimal solution.
Passion for building new products in a fast paced teamoriented environment
Experience in developing and launching public Amazon Web Services.
Experience in Linux kernel and/or device driver development.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
