Operations Supervisor South Plainfield NJ

As an Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring high levels of service in all managed locations for current and prospective customers. As an integral member of leadership your team will rely upon your talents and abilities to foster an efficient and safetyfirst culture. Reporting to the Regional Area Manager Mount Vernon & South Plainfield you will take ownership of daily operations in the respective locations including customer service plant maintenance/up keep vehicle maintenance ride along with employees and employee training. Key responsibilities and essential job duties include but not be limited to:
- Own and adherence to standards for all branch processes.
- Supervision of Dock/Yard Employees through coaching and development conversations; ensuring a commitment to being a worldclass leader in safety and responsibility.
- Execute Customer Deliveries / Installations as needed to support Branch Initiatives
- Support After Hour Customer Communication
- Work in direct consultation with Regional Area Manager and Organizational Leadership to build developmental programs with defined career paths for advancement.
- Support the Regional Area Manager with leading safety meetings.
- Uphold frontline employee safety through the regulation of safety policy compliance behaviors and the identification and of improvement opportunities.
- Assist with accident and injury investigations work with the Regional Area Manager in building proactive safety measures.
- Assist with facility management including facility appearance while ensuring safety compliance.
Desired skills and experience:
- 5 years in Service Operations or Logistics roles. Facility management experience is a plus.
- Team player with a proven track record of collaboration to solve difficult problems & drive improvement.
- CETP Certifications in Service and Delivery.
- Demonstrated success in a number of diverse customer service and operation roles.
- Ability to coach/train front line employees on company procedures and Safety policies.
- Ability to weigh tradeoffs to arrive at a solution that is acceptable for both the customer & Paraco.
- A valid Commercial Drivers License CDL with (HazMat) hazardous material Endorsement is required.
- Class B CDL (with no air brake restrictions) is required.
- Endorsement (N) Tank Vehicle is required.
- Endorsement (X) in place of (N) and (HazMat) is required.
- A clean and safe driving record.
- Class B CDL (with no air brake restrictions) is required.
- Mechanically inclined skills preferred
- Experience providing a consistently high level of customer service.
- Excellent written verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing and anticipating change and challenges.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Flexible Work schedule to support business as needed
- 80K/year
