Indiana University Bloomington the flagship campus of Indiana University and a leading researchintensive institution is accepting applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in the Counseling and Counseling Psychology programs within the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology housed in the School of Education. This will be a fulltime tenure track 10month appointment (beginning 08/1/2025. The successful candidate will join the core faculty of the Counseling and Counseling Psychology programs. We invite applicants who have a demonstrated highquality research program commensurate with their rank. Candidates should also be actively engaged in grantfunded research or demonstrate a strong potential for obtaining grant funding in the future. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research teaching and service emphasize diversity equity inclusion and social justice DEIJ )consistent with our programs statement of multicultural aspirations and who will uphold our programs high standards of excellence. Key responsibilities of the position include: Conduct highquality research and disseminate it in peerreviewed journals and other venues. Apply for internal and external funds to support research. Teach and supervise graduate and undergraduate courses in the department. Mentor and advise graduate students. Participate in departmental and university service activities. Contribute to the promotion of DEIJ within the department and university. Minimum required qualifications : Doctorate in counseling psychology or a closely related field earned by start date. Proven record of peerreviewed published scholarship commensurate with their rank. Proven record of externally funded research or potential for externally funded research. For candidates applying for the Associaterank position: Evidence of effective graduate or undergraduate teaching advising and mentoring. Preferred qualifications: Although area of specialty is open we prefer applicants whose research and teaching complements or extends our programs emphasis on DEIJ . Licensed or license eligible in the state of Indiana. We are especially interested in applicants who have expertise in teaching psychological or cognitive assessment. Program Information The Counseling and Counseling Psychology Programs are housed within the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology. The Counseling programs include an undergraduate major undergraduate minor MPCAC accredited masters programs in mental health counseling (mental health and addictions tracks) and an APA accredited Ph.D. program in counseling psychology.
