Job Description
Assures defect data entry is in place for those manufacturing operations required to collect quality data.
Review/monitor trends of nonconforming material (NCM) to assist with the minimization/elimination of such causes leading
to said NCM.
Occasionally review manufacturing documentation (Work Orders Purchase Orders) to ensure correctness and that it contains
the necessary criteria and provisions for effective inspection of products.
When required compiles and reports quality data to assigned customers using defined reporting agreements.
Initiates and tracks internal/external product deficiencies and works with engineering for a timely disposition of such
product.
Participate in communication with customers to discuss quality issues particularly those issues found by the customer or in
the field as needed.
Reviews and processes customer returns (Return Material Authorization or RMA) including but not limited to inspection
and disposition.
Serve as point of contact with suppliers to communicate nonconformances and returns of production items to include
initiating the return to supplier process.
