Key job responsibilities
The Foundations team is looking for an experienced Software Development Manager. We operate as a startup within Amazon providing great flexibility in product and technology direction. As a leader on the team you will be expected to operate at all levels growing the team diving deep into the details while providing strategic inputs for the product. You will be a key player in driving strategic planning project development of engineering talent and the ongoing operation and improvement of our products.

eero was acquired by Amazon in early 2019 and has since been rapidly expanding. Headquartered in San Francisco the eero Foundations team operates as a distributed team with team members across the globe as well as at HQ in SF. The team has a track record of delivering quality features at scale with a ton of ambitious goals ahead of us.
eero is looking for an experienced SDM to lead one of our Foundations teams and help ship many of our exciting new initiatives. Were looking for a manager who leads with empathy who understands the value of a strong team dynamic and who can help continue to grow the team.

3 years of engineering team management experience
7 years of engineering experience
8 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations
Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy
Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
