This position qualifies for $6933/year in high demand supplemental salary in addition to the annual contract amount above.

Join the Business Department at Shoreline Community College and contribute to the development of students understanding of fundamental business principles. This role involves fostering critical thinking and problemsolving skills preparing students for diverse roles in various business structures. Beyond teaching responsibilities the successful candidate will engage in advising students evaluating current instructional methods creating programs and curricula and actively participating in Shorelines governance departmental activities divisional initiatives campusrelated professional events and industryfocused advisory meetings. Additionally this position is expected to support and advise (along with other unit faculty) for the Shoreline Community College chapter of DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America). NOTE: An oncampus presence is required for this position.
The selected candidate will be tasked with instructing collegelevel courses aligning with the selected applicants prior experiences and academic training. Courses in this unit include areas of business intelligence data analytics purchasing & supply chain marketing and business administration catering to 100level and 200level transfer and professionaltechnical students.
Teaching responsibilities encompass a variety of courses such as:
Introduction to Business
Business Law Marketing
Human Relations Logistics
EBusiness
Project Management
Human Resources
Entrepreneurship
Supervision
Advanced Excel
Data Analytics

Required Education and Experience- Master of Business / Business Administration or a related discipline to the potential teaching assignments listed above from an accredited institution
- Three years experience teaching in a higher education environment or conducting training & professional development related to Business Administration ORthree years experience in an industry related to Business Administration
- Experience with both online and inperson teaching including the development of online coursework and proficiency in utilizing emerging technology
Knowledge of- Various instructional delivery modes such as inperson hybrid Hyflex and online both synchronous and asynchronous
- Microsoft Office programs learning management systems and other appropriate instructional technology (ex. ctcLink Canvas Starfish etc.
- Fieldbased learning internships and fostering student engagement on campus outside of the classroom.
- Knowledge of various business industries including general business practices entrepreneurship project management supply chain management and operations.
Skill in- Actively fostering a climate of equity and belonging through multicultural awareness and responsiveness
- Imparting excitement and enthusiasm into the instruction of business courses
- Effective oral/written communication with individuals at all levels inside and outside the College
- Adapting to a variety of teaching situations with students from diverse backgrounds/abilities
- Developing/modifying curriculum both collaboratively and independently
- Working and interacting effectively with colleagues staff students administrators and others of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
Conditions of Employment
Physical Work Environment:
The College is currently in mixed (both inperson and online) operations with the option of some assignments to be completed in an online environment based on program or area needs. If authorized by the College for remote (online) instruction faculty will need to provide their own workspace and internet access noting the College will provide technical equipment and support for online work needs. For oncampus inperson instruction work is usually performed in a classroom/office space that requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time. Faculty typically use computers and media equipment in the work environment.
Term Of Employment/Salary:
This is a fulltime tenuretrack position with a 172day annual academic year contract beginning September 18 2025. Salary placement is determined by the number of qualifying years of teaching/work experience combined with level of related completed degrees/certifications/licenses. Hiring of this position is contingent upon available funding as determined by the College President.Required Materials
