Job Description

Job Summary
The Training Coordinator as a member of the integrated clinical and training services of the Womens Resource Center WRC and University Counseling Center UCC is responsible for overseeing the Feminist Multicultural Therapy Training Program at the Womens Resource Center. This includes promotion of the training program across campus to facilitate successful recruitment and selection of advanced graduate interns and practicum students (trainees) who are studying Counseling/Clinical Psychology Social Work MSW and/or Clinical Mental Health Counseling CMHC and who have a specific interest in learning and practicing Feminist Multicultural Therapy. The Training Coordinator will hold primary responsibility for training supervising and arranging supervision for trainees. This may also include providing the training and supervision for one undergraduate Social Work intern. The Training and Outreach Coordinator will provide counseling for students and depending on availability will facilitate at least one support group during the academic year. This position reports to the Associate Director of Training at the UCC and closely collaborates with the Associate Director of WRC Clinical Services. The Womens Resource Center at the University of Utah was founded in 1971 by a group of visionary women faculty staff and graduate students. The Center has been at the forefront of advocating for change on campus including improving access to childcare establishing scholarship programs and founding the Feminist Multicultural Therapy training program. The mission of the WRC is to support student wellbeing and success through programs counseling training and scholarships. Responsibilities
Update and implement a comprehensive training program grounded in the theories and practices of Feminist Multicultural Therapy FMT . Collaborate with the Associate Director of WRC Clinical Services and Associate Director of Training to ensure congruence in the training and supervision of trainees and provision of clinical services. Provide opportunities for trainees to participate in community engaged learning within the framework of the FMT training model. Develop and facilitate a weekly clinical seminar for trainees. Contribute to WRC / UCC mental wellness programming by engaging clinical interns and/or offering expertise in mental health issues. Provide individual and group supervision to clinical trainees. Participate in the recruitment and selection of trainees for the upcoming academic year. This includes participating in practicum fairs and outreaching to programs across campus. Teach Feminist Multicultural Therapy course during summer session (additional compensation may be given for this course). Provide individual counseling for students and offer one support group to members of the campus and larger community. Develop collaborative relationships with campus partners. Engage as an active participant in the mission and vision of the Womens Resource Center and the University Counseling Center. Minimum Qualifications
Licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW in the State of Utah or a PhD in Educational Psychology or Counseling Psychology; two years related experience that includes individual and group counseling experience; credentials and eligibility to supervise graduate interns; previous experience working with a broad range of clients and communities. Candidate must have experience with and expertise in Feminist Multicultural Therapy as well as traumainformed approaches to counseling. Department Specific Qualifications Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW Psychologist (Ph.D. or Clinical Mental Health Counselor CMHC and eligible to supervise interns. Preference given to a LCSW due to current supervision needs. Knowledge experience and expertise in Feminist Multicultural Therapy. Awareness knowledge and skills regarding traumainformed care multicultural counseling the provision of affirmative therapy to a broad range of clients.
