Description

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and the Wake Forest University School of Medicine is Seeking a MidtoAdvanced Career Section Head and Chief of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery with Specialty Interest in Neuromuscular Care Spinal Deformity or Complex Limb Deformity.

The selected individual will be actively involved in the clinical education and research mission of the department and section:

  • Manage conditions related to comprehensive pediatric orthopaedic care from birth to early adulthood. Expertise in treating conditions related to the broad spectrum of congenital developmental and traumatic disorders.
  • Orthopaedic resident teaching clinical and laboratory research opportunities expected to advance the pediatric orthopaedic section.
  • Dedicated role as Chief of Pediatric Orthopaedics at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Brenner Childrens Hospital now part of Atrium Health Levine Childrens serving as liaison to the Childrens Hospital leadership team Section and Department.

Current Department includes 90 Faculty 25 orthopaedic residents 9 podiatric residents 8 fellowships.

Current Pediatric Orthopaedic Section & Team includes:

  • 4 pediatric orthopaedic surgeons with active POSNA membership
  • 1 nonoperative pediatric orthopedist
  • 1 pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation physician
  • 2 pediatric orthopaedic APPs
  • 1 pediatric athletic trainer
  • 1 physical therapy assistant.

Must be Eligible for NC Medical License.

Candidates should be board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery with a fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedics and active in the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America.
