Job Description
To take lead of technical retail and expense modelling. Maintaining developing and implementing market leading pricing models.
Support development of new and innovative products and models.
To assist with setting up of monitoring framework.
To take lead of policy admin system (PAS) pricing requirements implementation
Supporting management to ensure profitability and objectives are met.
Qualifications :
Type of Qualification:
3year BSc 4year B BusSc or BCom with actuarial majors
Honours is an advantage
Member of Actuarial Society of South Africa /Member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
At least 6 exemptions / actuarial exam passes
Experience Required
47 years of shortterm pricing experience.
Experience with data is preferred.
Experience in short term insurance pricing.
Experience in system (PAS rating engine or claims) implementation.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of shortterm insurance pricing techniques.
- Understanding of shortterm insurance products and business principles.
- Understanding of balance sheet and Income statement.
- Knowledge of actuarial processes and control cycle
- Knowledge of the product development process.
- Understanding of how the FSCA operates.
- Understanding of the economic environments impact on short term insurance industry.
- Knowledge of South African insurance regulation.
- Knowledge of system implementation.
