Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in animal science. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in equine reproduction genetics or exercise physiology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horsemanship and working with young stock. Teaching opportunities may include horse production anatomy reproduction genetics lameness and rehabilitation introductory/advanced western horsemanship breaking and training other courses in the core animal science courses or graduate level courses depending on departmental needs the individuals interests educational background and skill level. Additional responsibilities include participation in and conducting departmentalsponsored events. Participation in faculty governance and service activities at the departmental college and university levels is also expected. Faculty members are also expected to engage in scholarly activity. Activities are broadly defined and may include the scholarship of teaching research or similar activities. This position is security sensitive.
