Job Description

Adjunct Economics

Position Summary and Qualifications:

Saint Josephs Universitys Department of Economics has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to staff a variety of courses each semester. We are looking for the support of highly qualified capable and experienced adjunct instructors able to teach inperson courses on our Hawk Hill campus.

For further information about the Department please visit our website at Josephs Universitys Department of Economics has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to staff ECN101 Introduction to Microeconomics and ECN102 Introduction to Macroeconomics. These courses are inperson courses on our Hawk Hill campus in Philadelphia.

Parttime adjunct faculty may instruct 1 or 2 courses each semester on an as needed basis. There is not guarantee we will need any additional instructors in any given semester.

For further information about the Department please visit our website at and Responsibilities include teaching of a specified course preparation of course materials providing support and guidance to students grade reporting. Secondary responsibilities include cooperating with department chair or other program faculty to assure quality and consistency across the program.

Minimum requirements: Masters Degree in Economics or closely related field and previous teaching experience of ECN101 and/or ECN102.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who have anABDor PhD in economics previous teaching experience and willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.
