The Department of Physics at High Point University invites applications for a fulltime Instructor of Physics to begin in August 2025. This is a ninemonth nontenuretrack appointment. Faculty have an opportunity for promotion to Senior Instructor after 5 years. Teaching responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate astronomy and physics courses which may include general education courses in physics and astronomy firstyear seminarstyle courses and introductory physics. The successful candidate will also be expected to collaborate with faculty on curriculum and program development pursue professional growth opportunities related to teaching and contribute to the department school and university through service.
The B.S. Physics program at High Point University values engaging and effective teaching the integration of computation experiment and theory across the curriculum and undergraduate research The program seeks a dynamic individual who is passionate about mentoring undergraduates and committed to education as a transformational process. A M.S. in physics or closely related field is required by the time of appointment.

Education
- M.S. in physics or related field.
Experience and Training
