About the role:
- Managing all legal aspects of the business;
- Drafting amending negotiating and managing all commercial contracts;
- Maintaining all compliance & regulatory requirements;
- Handling and promoting all health safety and environment objectives and policies;
- Acting as the Company Secretary and performed all related duties
- Handling all corporate governance matters
- Liaising with external law firms; and
- Supporting overseas legal requirements when needed.
The ideal candidate:
- Senior Legal Counsel 6 years PQE) with experience advising large corporate organisations ideally involved in the resources sector (mining oil gas etc); with
- The ability to work autonomously as well as engage collaboratively with key stakeholders globally; and
- Currently working for a major law firm or an inhouse legal team of a large corporation.
