THE ROLE & THE TEAM
In the Fashion Customer Experience (CX) Engineering team we fulfill customers everyday fashion needs through engaging customer experience and deep customer understanding; one where the products in the parcel live up to the customers expectations. We make this happen through customization and innovation to serve the unique needs of Zalando customers shopping core fashion categories.
Our team is looking for a talented iOS Senior Software Engineer with React Native experience who has a strong customercentric mindset and is passionate about developing highquality applications with delightful customer experience.
As an iOS Senior Software Engineer you will join a team that works closely with Product Managers Designers and Software Engineers to fulfill fashion customers needs through engaging and delightful customer experiences that blend inspiration quality entertainment and seamless digital interaction. We build customerfacing features across the customer journey to help over 50 million customers across 25 markets find products they love and buy products they keep ultimately helping customers to make lasting purchases.

You will be part of an agile team where you will contribute to solution design planning development delivery and improving the customer experience for fashion customers across the Zalando Fashion Store application.
You will collaborate closely with Product Management and Product Design to refine designs and functional requirements. You will create test cases to be verified during development and feature releases.
You will act like an owner and take an active role in reducing ambiguity understanding business requirements and translating them into technical solutions and requirements.
You will contribute to the different parts of Zalando Fashion Store application while constantly aligning with your peers on the best practices and continuously improving development and delivery processes and application architecture.
Proactively suggest and implement improvements while driving the technical design of new features and architectural proposals to ensure scalability testability and maintainability.
Participate in code reviews adhere to best practices and use feedback as an opportunity for growth.
Stay uptodate with the latest announcements from React Native community and Apple WWDC as well as new iOS frameworks tools and technologies to ensure development processes remain modern and efficient.
Grow and share your expertise while actively supporting the growth and development of junior colleagues and peers both within and beyond your team.
WED LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You are an experienced iOS engineer 5 years) who is eager to work with new technologies and always tries to challenge yourself and deliver high quality code.
You have proven experience developing and shipping React Native applications.
Strong understanding of React Native fundamentals including hooks state management and navigation.
Handson experience integrating native iOS modules.
You have a deep understanding of iOS SDK Swift language and Apple design principles.
Experience working with TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6.
Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices clean code and common architectural and design patterns.
You are passionate about writing wellstructured readable and maintainable code thats covered by automated tests.
You are passionate about crafting intuitive seamless and delightful user experiences.
You have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate respectfully with others by listening communicating clearly and actively sharing knowledge. You own your code embrace agile software development practices and support others through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
Good and effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
You take ownership of your work from understanding the requirements to implementation testing and maintenance.
You appreciate pixelperfect designs and buttery smoothanimations.
You have experience working in high performance teams and can drive technical discussions.
You have handson experience with performance tuning (instrumentation & observability).
Knowledge of GraphQL.
