Position Overview
We are looking for a Civil Engineer/EIT to join our team to assist in the planning design entitlement and construction of various projects. This role involves working closely with project managers engineers and other professionals to create detailed plans and drawings using AutoCAD/Civil 3D. This role also offers flexibility to work from our Grand Rapids or Scottsdale office or remotely in our Idaho and Northern Arizona markets.The ideal candidate will be based in Northern Arizona.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings plans and specifications for various civil engineering projects including site development transportation and utilities.
- Utilize computeraided design (CAD) software (e.g. AutoCAD Civil 3D) to create detailed drawings and models based on project requirements and standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop design concepts layouts and construction details that meet project objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Gather surveys topographic data utility locations local jurisdictional requirements and codes as well as zoning requirements and other relevant information for project planning and design.
- Analyze survey data and aerial imagery to assess site conditions identify constraints and develop design solutions that optimize land use and infrastructure layout.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports calculations and design memoranda to support project planning permitting and regulatory compliance.
- Review and interpret engineering plans specifications and standards to ensure accuracy completeness and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation including drawings correspondence and design revisions to facilitate efficient project management and communication.

- Coordinate with internal teams external consultants and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits for project implementation.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders including clients contractors and suppliers to clarify design requirements address inquiries and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in project meetings design reviews and construction site visits as needed to support project progress and ensure quality control.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EngineerinTraining.
- At least 3 years of experience in civil engineering preferably in the land development sector.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex and largescale projects within scope budget and schedule.
- Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principals practices and standards including site grading drainage and utility design.
- Detailoriented approach to work with a focus on accuracy efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Excellent organizational communication and problemsolving skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
