Under general direction of the Student Financial Services Manager incumbents perform the full range of professional accounting that involves the application of accounting principles and practices to the resolution of a variety of accounting functions or problems. Work is performed with greater independence of judgment and action than the lower level. The position specializes in accounts receivables student revenues and the student financials system.
Accountants apply knowledge of the theories principles and practices of the accounting profession including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in classifying examining and analyzing financial transactions.
Experience:Equivalent to two years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience.

Preference will be given to qualified individuals currently employed at CSU Stanislaus in bargaining units 2 5 7 and 9 except when it is determined that it is necessary to appoint outside applicants to meet the best interest of the campus by obtaining specialized skills and abilities not available from current employees.
