Job Description
Rex Airlines (Regional Express) is Australias largest independent regional airline operating a fleet ofSaab 340aircraft to 54 destinations providing a link between cities and regional Australia.
Our flight attendants are well known for their warm and genuine inflight service and winning the Apex Award 2024 for Best Cabin Service in the South Pacific is testament to this. This award highlights the dedication of our team making Rex a stand out in the competitive aviation market.
Rex is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as full time solo flight attendants based in Albury.
We are looking for people who are:
- Independent and selfreliant: As solo Flight Attendants you will be responsible for managing the entire cabin independently ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers throughout the flight.
- Customerfocused: As a solo Flight Attendant you will manage your own cabin and have the opportunity to provide a caring and personalised service whilst travelling to some of Australias most unique destinations.
- Detailoriented and safetyconscious: you will need to manage inflight services while maintaining a high standard of safety and compliance with aviation regulations.
The role offers a great work/life balance along with a competitive remuneration and includes working on weekends public holidays shift work (which includes early starts & late finishes) and some nights spent away from home.
Some of the duties you will perform are equipment/security checks inflight announcements inflight food & beverage service cleaning duties as well as handling various situations that may occur in the cabin on your own.
It is a rewarding position where every day is different coupled with a great team spirit.
To meet requirements you must:
- Be 18 years of age or over
- Be an Australian Citizen or have Permanent Residency
- Be no taller than 173 cm
- Hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011
- Hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate completed within the last 3 years
- Be able to demonstrate that you have:
- Completed a minimum 3 years of secondary education in Australia or New Zealand or
- Worked in Australia or New Zealand for at least 3 of the last 5 years or
- Worked in the UK Ireland or USA for at least 3 of the last 5 years or
- Completed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an overall grade of 5.5.
- Be able to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) which involves a police security check
- Be passionate about your role and a commitment to delivering exceptional and consistent customer service
- Be able to swim fully clothed without aid or floating device (a swim assessment is required)
- Be flexible and adaptable; working hours will vary and include working during holiday times and peak periods
- Have a high level of personal presentation
- Have a natural willingness to please and care for people
Extensive training will be provided flying experience is not required.
