Job Description
The School of Nursing at Pepperdine University seeks candidates for clinical faculty appointments at the rank of clinical assistant professor clinical associate professor clinical professor or clinical instructor for its developing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Entry Level Masters Degree in Nursing (ELM) programs. Successful candidates should have an earned masters or doctoral degree and commitment to student success. Preferred qualifications include successful experience teaching undergraduate and graduate nursing students. As a new program we seek faculty in a widerange of specialty areas including: pathopharmacology adult medical/surgical pediatrics gerontology obstetrics behavioral/mental health community/population nursing and clinical foundations/reasoning. Clinical expertise including direct patient care experience in one or more of the specialty areas is required. Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain a clear and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California.
The BSN and ELM programs plan to enroll their first cohort of students in Fall 2025 (pending WSCUC and BRN approval). Review of candidates will begin immediately and continue on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. The regular fulltime employment start date is August 1 2025. Pending availability and need select faculty may be provided the opportunity to begin in June or July 2025 to ensure program readiness. Both degree programs will be offered on Pepperdines Malibu and Calabasas campuses and all faculty appointments are inperson.
The salary for a fulltime 12month professorial appointment for applicants with a doctoral degree will range from $100000 to $190000. Candidates with a masters degree will be appointed as an instructor and can expect a salary ranging from $90000 to $145000 for a fulltime 12month appointment. Salaries will be prorated for individuals seeking a 9month appointment. Actual salary may vary based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant as well as market conditions.
