Aquatic Informatics corporate office is located in Vancouver BC with remote flexibility. Being within a commutable distance of Vancouver is strongly preferred to come in 23 times a month for onsite collaboration.

About the Role:
As our Principal Software Architect reporting into the CTO youll drive the technical vision and architectural strategy across multiple product lines and tech stacks. Youll collaborate with senior engineers architects data scientists DevOps product managers and leadership to create scalable secure and futureproof solutions for the water industry.
In this role a typical day will look like:
Every day youll work alongside talented engineers security experts and product teams to keep our platforms secure reliable and efficient. You will:
- Architect the Future Design and enhance platforms for environmental wastewater drinking water and IoT solutions.
- Ensure Scalability & Performance Develop robust cloudnative architectures for a rapidly growing industry.
- Lead & Inspire Guide a geodistributed team of architects and engineers in building nextgen solutions.
- Prioritize Security & Compliance Work closely with SecOps and compliance teams to meet evolving security standards.
- Bridge Tech & Business Partner with product managers and leadership to align architecture with business goals.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Proven experience in software architecture and technical leadership.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS Azure) microservices and containerization (Kubernetes).
- Handson experience with big data IoT solutions and zerodowntime deployments.
- Strong communication skills Ability to influence technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of security standards (ISO27001 SOC2 FedRAMP GDPR).
- Passion for impact A desire to innovate and contribute to solving global water challenges.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associates position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements sales or revenuebased metrics any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $160000.00 $200000.00 CAD per job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
