Overview
Summary:
Responsible for performing repairs lubrication and adjustments on all hospital equipment to assure a comfortable and safe environment for patients guests and personnel along with keeping grounds clean.

Qualifications
Other information:
*High school diploma/GED .
*One to three years experience in maintenance preferred.
*One year customer service experience required.
Education:

* High School Diploma or GED
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
*Responsible for all maintenance of assigned area. Follows prescribed safety standards and maintains a clean and safe environment according to established policies and procedures.
*Perform general maintenance duties/functions
*Repairs and fabricates hospital equipment.
*Performs general plumbing repairs and replacement.
*Attends Department staff meetings and inservices provided.
*Handling and packaging of Universal Waste; florescent bulbs batteries mercury containing equipment.
*Proper labeling of Universal Waste containers including accumulation start date.
*Knowledge of Universal Waste accidental release procedures.
*Understanding of infrequent disposal of hazardous waste; flammables toxics oxidizers corrosives.
*Handling and packaging of Used Oil/Used Hydraulic Fluids for proper disposal.
*Proper labeling of Used Oil containers including accumulation start date.
*Knowledge of Used Oil/Used Hydraulic Fluid accidental release procedures and collection/clean up.
*Performs groundskeeping and maintains grounds as needed and cleans up adjacent hospital property
*Constantly improve technical knowledge and skills through participation in educational programs and inservice meetings.
*Other duties as assigned.
