This is a community based role; home visits and going into the community is required.
Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Two late nights until 7:00 PM (employees choice of days)
Flexible scheduling available to accommodate client needs Ability to adjust hours (work later some days and come in later on others)
Compensation: $40000
Working at NYAP
Responsibilities
Work directly with the assigned HomeBased Caseworker and/or Therapist to assist in meeting the needs of the referred client(s).
Assist assigned families with time management life skill development transportation child development education home management nutrition child supervision and problem solving.
Supervise visitations of children who are not living with their birth families if needed.
Advocate on behalf of the families for the successful reunification and/or prevention of out of home placement of the children living in the home.
Assist and support excellence in public relations with referral agencies the court system and system partners.
Work collaboratively with the NYAP team.
Complete all required paperwork per agency policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
21 years of age or older.
High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Associates Degree in social services is preferred.
Experience working with troubled and needy youth/families is preferred.
Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers smart phones and tablets printers fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing spreadsheet and database programs.
