Job Description

AbbVie is looking for a Director of US Market Access Marketing Elahere.  This position is responsible for market access marketing leadership for Elahere an AbbVie Tier 1 priority product in the US market which was brought in through the ac. Elahere (mirvetuximab soravtansinegynx) is an antibodydrug conjugate marketed for patients with FR platinumresistant ovarian cancer accompanied by a companion diagnostic for patient selection. Elahere which demonstrates overall survival benefit in a patient population with high unmet need has transformed the landscape in platinum resistant ovarian cancer and is the cornerstone of AbbVies portfolio in solid tumor oncology a key growth area for the enterprise.  

The Marketing Director Elahere will develop strategy and tactics across all payer channels (e.g. Commercial Medicare Medicaid VA etc) as well as oncology group purchasing organizations (GPOs) in concert with the Oncology Market Access Account Team marketers. Leads strategic alignment with the Elahere Integrated Brand Team developing Market Access strategies with stakeholders in the Oncology commercial organization and US Medical Affairs. As the first AbbVieled solid tumor launch in oncology the Director will bring relevant launch expertise and articulate strategy. The Director will leverage data analytics and strong strategic mindset in all aspects of running the marketing component of the business.  Throughout their work the director will provide positive leadership and foster alignment with US Market Access Ambitious Cultural Vision.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide leadership and direction for Marketing vision strategies plans and resource investment for Elahere.  Encompass a One for All AbbVie mindset and perspective in all strategies.
  • Able to build a value proposition by articulating the business strategy and economic choices for each stakeholder.
  • Act as a Market Access contact for Oncology leadership relative to Plan LBE LRP and other financial & planning processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with critical functions including Brand Marketing Account Team Marketing Trade Marketing payer and Oncology Market Access account teams Market Access Insights Medical Payer Strategy and the Office of Ethics and Compliance.
  • Set tone and priorities for scale and scope of accountability. Influence and persuade across multiple external and internal stakeholders and partners.
  • Serve as a US Market Access and reimbursement subject matter expert and providing appropriate input to the Pipeline Market Access team and through membership and participation in relevant product Value and Access Teams (VATs).
  • Infuse AbbVie Ways of Working and Talent Philosophy in daytoday leadership and overall management of the business. 
  • Uses coaching effectively and efficiently to influence crossfunctional partners.
  • Determine appropriate action tracking and monitoring of projects by employing scenario planning segmentation positioning innovation creative development investment optimization as needed.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:

 Bachelors Degree required.

  • Proven marketing leadership experience required.
  • 10 years of pharmaceutical experience with crossfunctional experiences including field sales market access finance market analytics brand marketing are all valued.
  • Positive solutionsoriented attitude required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Market access marketing
  • Ovarian cancer/solid tumor experience
  • Experience with marketing of medical benefit medicines
  • Companion diagnostics experience
