Job Title: Product Support Scientist

Division Specific Information

Working as part of our Microbiology Division (MBD) within the Specialty Diagnostics Group youll play an active part in helping us to achieve our mission. The Microbiology Division discovers microbiological solutions for the diagnosis of infectious disease and detection of bacterial contamination. We serve public health clinical laboratories food companies environmental screening and pharmaceutical laboratories with a portfolio of products that include culture media antimicrobial susceptibility testing solutions and marketleading molecular solutions for food safety testing.

How Will You Make an Impact

As a Product Support Scientist you are responsible for providing technical support for Immunological and Biochemical ID products within the MBD Dartford portfolio. Your role ensures the robustness safety and performance of these products. This will include carrying out investigations on reagents manufactured at MBD Dartford and compilation of data for validation stability or other technical reports as directed by the Product Support Manager or Product Support Coordinators/Senior Scientist

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Investigations/stabilities:Conduct technical investigations including but not limited to feasibility studies root cause analysis and customer complaint investigations. Perform experimental stabilities and batch monitoring for products in the field.

  • Validation: You will be driving the preparation and of validation documentation and activities including process validation analytical method validation and spreadsheet validation; ensuring the documentation is detailed accurate and readily available. Where required provide technical justification to support the validation activities. Support equipment validation team where they effect the processes at MBD Dartford.

  • Technical Changes:Ensure the robustness safety and quality of MBD Dartford products by monitoring and implementing technical changes in formulation specification and manufacturing processes ensuring their successful implementation through the change control process.

  • Improvement Recommendations:Identify and recommend improvements for product formulation and manufacturing processes. Make proactive recommendations to improve their performance and efficiency.

  • Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with team members including customer care QA QC RA IVDR Manufacturing Sciences and Operations teams to ensure efficient collaboration.

  • Product Transfer:Where required support and manage product transfers from other sites to MBD Dartford ensuring processes/ raw materials are effectively transferred and adhere to quality standards.

  • Materials Changes:Implement changes in materials as required to improve product performance and address quality or supplier issues.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • BSc in a Biological Science Discipline

  • Familiarity with the principle of immunoassays

  • To have excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills
