Job Description

MHS/MCTEA is seeking a high school Architectural Design & Building Construction instructor beginning August 1 2025. The position is open until filled.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum three years work experience 6000 hours) in theconstruction field.
  • Alternative certification may need to be acquired if the applicant is not K12 certified in Building Trades.
  • Pass a state and federal criminal background check.

Preferred Skills

  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Passion for training with a high level of integrity honesty and professionalism.
  • Communicate effectively master change work in groups and have strong customer orientation.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have related industry experience teaching experience evidence of teaching skills and experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Excellent time management organizational skills and attention to detail are a plus.

The Instructor will be responsible for:

  • Teaching assigned courses; assessing student progress in classroom and laboratory settings; and developing and updating curriculum.
  • Leadership in both academic and technical areas to fulfill the educational goals and objectives of theArchitectural Design & Building Constructionprogram and the Mitchell School District.

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act requires that the colleges Annual Security and Fire Safety Report which includes crime statistics be made available to prospective employees and prospective students upon request. Mitchell Techs Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported Clery crimes that occurred on campus and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus safety and security such as those concerning alcohol and drug use crime prevention the reporting of crimes sexual prevention and response timely warnings emergency response and other matters.
