What impact youll make
The Aero Equipment ITR Electrical Engineer will be part of a team tasked to deliver wingtowing customer solutions for Aeroderivative Gas Turbine Generator Equipment projects from competitive proposal to of solutions. This team will execute with safety quality speed ontime delivery and at cost.
Job Description
What youll do (Role & Responsibilities)
- Expert knowledge in electrical systems with hands on experience in designing and reviewing electrical protection systems.
- Deep domain expert on generator protection system with ability to perform load and short circuit analysis.
- Solid background in power generation application with brushless excitation system using Automatic Voltage Regulators.
- Familiar with industry recognized Electrical codes & standards (IEEE IEC)
- Working knowledge of electrical installation practice to comply with hazardous area classification.
- Familiar with balance of plant equipment (Transformers Control Modules Switchgear Motor Control Center).
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and ability to review/resolve Medium Voltage High Voltage electrical system design.
- Prepare and process technical specification for suppliers review supplier drawings to ensure compliance with project CTQs (Critical to Quality).
- Provide product clarification and answers to customers questions work with installation and commissioning team to resolve site issues.
- Work with Project Managers and project leads to prepare customer meeting presentations and actively participate in customer kick of meetings.
- Prepare & Present Technical design reviews to managers and technical leaders. Identify IP (Intellectual Property) ideas and process IDLs (Invention Disclosure Letters).
- Work with compliance team to execute T&RS (Technical Regulations & Standards) compliance items and ensure full completion of all open items.
- Identify and execute product cost out and SMI (Slow Moving Inventory) opportunities to meet business cost saving goals.
- Develop design schedule for projects/programs with milestones and work task assignments with cross functional teams
- Technical (Drawing Redlines to Standards Parts Creation etc.
- Project Meeting Attendance (Engineering Release Customer Meeting etc..
- Support manufacturing and validation team to resolve project related issues
- Work with suppliers and review their drawings to ensure compliance to project requirements.
What youll bring (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Minimum of eight 8 years engineering experience
- Minimum of four 4 years of Gas Turbine related work experience with strong understanding of gas turbines based packages including auxiliary systems and balance of plant equipment.
- Minimum of four 4 years of focused customer service and fulfillment experience
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to work onsite.
What will make you stand out
- 10 years electrical engineering experience in the power industry
- Solid understanding of power generation products and drive train influence to performance and compliance of various grid codes
- Strong understanding of gas turbines plants and/or experience designing or installing GE Gas Turbine packages
- Strong technical aptitude including applicable engineering tools MATLAB ETAP
For U.S. based candidates only for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements The base pay range for this position is$111200.00 $185400.00 USD per year.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15 performance bonus.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110 120 or 130 of salary in certain areas.
