Position Summary
Cellular Therapy/Lymphoma Faculty Opportunity University of Nebraska Medical Center The Division of Hematology & Oncology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center UNMC in Omaha NE is seeking passionate patientcentered and collaborative physician to join its esteemed faculty specializing in Cellular Therapy and Lymphoma. In partnership with Nebraska Medicine UNMCs Oncology/Hematology Division offers patients individualized care driven by the latest scientific advancements at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center Nebraskas only NCI designated cancer center. This dynamic setting fosters collaboration where todays research leaders work alongside and mentor the next generation of researchers all united by the mission of enhancing the lives of cancer patients. Position Overview: The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Hematologic Malignancies with a specialty in Lymphoma. In addition clinical and translational research background in Cellular Therapies including stem cell transplantation Chimeric Antigen Receptor Therapy CAR T) and novel agents for treatment of lymphomas. You would collaborate with other physicians and translational researchers on clinical and translational research projects involving lymphoma and/or cellular therapies. Access to Clinical Trials: Patients have access to unique clinical trials including trials through the National Cooperative Clinical Trials Network NCTN Big10 network Pharmaceutical sponsored trials and Investigator Initiated Clinical Trials. Many of the clinical trials are unavailable elsewhere in the region contributing to the centers reputation for excellence in innovative cancer treatments State of the Art Good Manufacturing Production Facility: All cellular therapies are manufactured and/or handled through the on site GMP facility with space for on site clinical grade manufacturing. Mentorship and Growth: Work alongside todays leading researchers while mentoring and inspiring the next generation of innovators united in the mission to transform the future of cancer treatment. StateoftheArt Clinical Resources: Take advantage of the unmatched facilities and resources of a worldrenowned academic medical center committed to changing lives. The cancer center features a 10story research tower and an 8story inpatient treatment center designed to integrate clinical care research and education for groundbreaking advancements in cancer treatment Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care for patients with lymphoma and/or undergoing Cellular Therapy Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to conduct clinical trials for the improvement of treatment for patients with lymphoid malignancies or cellular therapies. Serve as a key leader in the development and on site manufacturing of GMP grade cellular therapies for patients in clinical trials Participate in mentoring additional researchers on cellular therapies good manufacturing practices and the conduct of clinical trials with the agents. Qualifications: The successful candidate must be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree) who is board certified in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology and has experience as a clinical/translational scientist in cellular therapies. Required Qualifications
