Job Description

The HR Assistant role provides front line HR support to employees day to day inquiries regarding HR systems and processes. The role updates and maintains records in the HRIS the time tracking system the door/badge security system and the LMS. The positions prepares and updates employee communications as well as the internal CCTV system and supports communication of Nidec Way recognition. The role is responsible for the promotion of company sponsored employee activities contests and drawings. This position gathers and assists in the collection of information for site KPIs.

    • Department changes

    • Classification Changes

    • Terminations

    • New Hire Follow Up

      • Direct Deposits

      • Benefits

  • Payroll

  • STD Tracking

  • LTD Tracking

  • Nidec University Administration

    • Updates New Hires/Terms

    • Follow up w Spvs on training delinquencies

  • Maintain Nidec Way Wall

    • Prints Awardco certificates of LEX employees for wall

    • Draws for Employee of the Month Parking Space

  • Prepare Employee Relations Announcements and Promotions

  • Maintain AppSpace Boards

    • Adding new content

    • Removing outdated content

  • Maintain employee sign ups and contests

  • Assist with data collection for KPI reporting

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures

  • Ability to operate general office equipment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

  • Ability to maintain confidential information

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. AA/AS Business Administration or Business Management preferred.

  • Administrative training required.

  • Work experience in a human resources department preferred.
