JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biologyat Penn State invites applications for multiple tenuretrack assistant professor appointments in the broad area of microbiology including bacteriology mycology parasitology and virology. The successful applicants will join a highly collaborative environment with access to cutting edge research infrastructure including genomic microscopy metabolomic animal and biosafety level 3 facilities. They will further have the opportunity to be part of numerous centers of excellence within the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences should have a Ph.D. a record of creative research accomplishments a research plan clearly articulating future contributions to the field a strong desire to achieve teaching excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community in the practice and teaching of science.
