The Role

The Fundraising and Donor Relations Lead reporting to the Head of Philanthropy manages and oversees the broader fundraising function with a focus on standard and midvalue donor portfolios.

This role is responsible for developing and executing multichannel fundraising strategies including appeals regular giving programs and comprehensive donor engagement initiatives. The Lead will design and track tailored donor journeys ensuring each donors experience is optimised to enhance longterm relationships.

The Fundraising and Donor Relation Lead will guide the creation and implementation of multichannel strategies encompassing each stage of the donor journey including identification qualification cultivation solicitation and stewardship of standard and mid value donors and prospects. The position requires proficiency in data analysis and CRM systems for reporting donor activities and financial reconciliation.

A strategic thinker and strong communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and stakeholders the Fundraising and Donor Relations Lead will play a pivotal role in driving fundraising success and supporting the broader philanthropy team.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing multichannel fundraising strategies to engage standard and midvalue donors including appeals regular giving programs and donor stewardship initiatives.
  • Creating and tracking personalized donor journeys to enhance engagement and retention ensuring tailored experiences that foster longterm relationships.
  • Managing and growing a midvalue donor portfolio focusing on gift cultivation solicitation and moves management to optimize donor involvement and contributions.
  • Coordinating and executing fundraising appeals ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategies.
  • Supervising the Senior Donor Relations Advisor providing guidance to effectively manage donor relationships and fundraising activities.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Philanthropy and other stakeholders to align fundraising strategies with organizational priorities and funding needs.
  • Using data analysis and CRM systems to track donor activities report on performance and ensure accurate gift processing and financial reconciliation.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with donors key stakeholders and executives providing regular updates on fundraising progress and organizational impact.
  • Supporting the creation of clear consistent donor communications that align with fundraising strategies and strengthen donor engagement.
  • Monitoring and evaluating fundraising campaigns identifying areas for improvement and recommending datadriven enhancements for future efforts.
  • Ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations and best practices upholding high standards of donor care and ethical conduct.
  • Managing administrative tasks related to fundraising activities including budget tracking scheduling and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Building and managing a pipeline of mid value prospects and donors to generate philanthropic income nurturing relationships and securing longterm support.

The role attracts an annual salary offer of $108195 (Professional Staff level 8 commensurate with experience.
