Job Description:

University of Florida College of Medicine Jacksonville seeks a General Abdominal Radiologist with a strong clinical foundation at the level of Assistant Professor.

Abdominal Imaging

  • Abdominal Imaging Radiologist with academic focus at UF Jacksonville Health System at the assistant/associate/full professor level with 100 specialization under new leadership with a new vision. This is a nontenure track position.
  • Fulltime academic position with UF Radiology and Imaging UFJPI.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be fellowship trained in Abdominal Imaging and experienced in all aspects of Abdominal Imaging. The candidate should be a team player and expect to join a pleasant group of colleagues.

Practice and Facilities

UF Health Jacksonville is the only universitybased academic practice in Northeast Florida. We are subspecialized across the department. No nights are required as we have an overnight ED radiology division. An internalmoonlighting evening shift is available for qualified faculty.

Our Abdominal Imaging program is growing encompassing all facets of MRI CT and US. We have a collegial group of fellowshiptrained radiologists who cover for each other; we emphasize a high morale environment and foster a sense of worklife balance. We serve the premier level1 trauma center in Northeast Florida. There is a high volume of specialized abdominal oncology work with the UF Proton Institute. MRI equipment is almost all Siemens. There are numerous academic and research opportunities available.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality service in a friendly academic setting.
  • Serve as a mentor to train a great group of residents. Our program now has 7 residents per year.
  • Research team is available to faculty interested in pursuing scholarly activity.
  • Work with colleagues in surgery oncology radiation oncology & pathology via daily interactions/multidisciplinary meetings.

The region: NW Florida and Jacksonville

Jacksonville also known as the River City is growing. UF Health has an expanding footprint across northeast Florida. People are relocating from cold climates and high tax states to Florida. Expected Salary:

Salary is negotiable; commensurate with experience and qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate will be fellowship trained in Abdominal Imaging and experienced in all aspects of Abdominal Imaging. The candidate should be a team player and expect to join a pleasant group of colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must be BC/BE in Diagnostic Radiology.

Fellowship training in Abdominal Imaging Thoracic Imaging Breast Imaging and Nuclear Medicine is preferred but training in all fellowship subspecialties will be considered. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
