Approximately fifty minutes from NYC by train Portledge is nestled on a pastoral 63 acre treelined campus that is known for its cherry blossoms in spring. Enrolling approximately 515 students in grades PN12 Portledge offers a competitive college preparatory program in a warm inclusive community. Job Description/Responsibilities:
Portledge School is seeking substitute teacher candidates who are driven to create a classroom environment where curiositydriven student learning is a nonnegotiable goal and passion is evident on a daily basis. A warm nurturing educational community with small class sizes makes Portledge an ideal community in which to Substitute teach. Pay for a full day of substitute work is $150.00

Qualifications:
BA Degree minimum
Teaching certification preferred
Candidates with formal teaching experience given preference
Comfort in teaching in both inperson and online environments and familiarity with technologies necessary for teaching in an online environment
Superb written and oral communication as well as organizational and time management skills

Antiracism training desired
Pay Rate:$18.75 per hour $150 per day)
