Overview
Join our dynamic team at UnityPoint Health as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist Critical Care
Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off
Hours: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
Location: Rock Island IL
As a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Critical Care youll be the vital link in our Critical Care team! Youll provide topnotch pharmaceutical care collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to ensure our patients receive the best possible treatment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in daily patient care activities.
- Discuss medication order clarifications with the prescriber.
- Document any changes in patient records and inform others of medication order changes.
- Provide inservices for the critical care nursing and medical staff.
- Initiate research investigations aimed at defining the role of critical care pharmacists or optimizing the care of patients in the critical care department.
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an approved College of Pharmacy and possesses a Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy is required
Experience:
ASHPaccredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency in Acute Care Pharmacy Practice or two years of experience in a complex healthsystem pharmacy environment is required.
Experience in emergency medicine or critical care is required.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Registered Pharmacist in the state of IA and IL is required within 180 days of hire.
Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for workrelated reasons.
