Job Description
Product Designer
Location: Montague Gardens Cape Town
Department: New Product Development
Reporting to: NPD Manager
Our client in the converted paper product manufacturing industry based in Montague Gardens Cape Town is seeking a creative and technically skilled Product Designer to lead the development of seasonal product ranges. This role involves guiding the full design process from concept to production ensuring innovative brandaligned products reach the market successfully.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop trendforward commercially viable product concepts
- Translate brand identity into all designs
- Create detailed CADs and tech packs to support costeffective production
- Monitor product performance and drive ongoing improvements
- Work crossfunctionally to ensure quality and timely sample
- Identify market gaps and contribute to new product development
- Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design
- 3 years of relevant experience (preferably in textiles or manufacturing)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Solid knowledge of garment construction fabrics and trims
- Detailoriented with excellent planning and communication skills
- Ability to thrive under pressure both independently and in a team
- Drivers license and own transport preferred
