As a Wildlife Habitat Group Manager you will be responsible for planningand overseeing habitat projects game lands maintenance infrastructure construction and maintenance equipment acquisition as well as other projects and programs within the habitat management group. Excellent leadership skills are vital as you will perform afull range of supervisory functions to include performance reviews conducting interviews and candidate selection tending to leave requests disciplinary actions and more.You will have the opportunity to complete a wide variety of duties including investigating workrelated accidents or incidents establishing workload prioritiespreparing and submitting grant applications for supplemental funding for projects and administering the budget for the group. Work also includes initiating and recommending acquisition of new game lands or additions to existing game lands which involves researching property owners and deeds as well as contacting landowners for potential acquisition of properties and negotiating conditions.
