We are seeking a highly creative quick learner scientist who is strongly motivated and eager to acquire new skills and perform interdisciplinary research for apostdoctoral research fellow position. The project will involve the development and application of advanced neuroimaging methods using PET/MR techniques under the guidance of Jacob Hooker PhD.
The Martinos Center is equipped with stateoftheart MRI and two simultaneous 3T MR/PET scanners. The center also offers ample opportunities for collaborative investigation ranging from methodological development of MR and PET techniques to clinical Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant area such as neuroscience biomedical science computer science or biomedical engineering. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in the field of imaging sciences by peerreviewed publications and productivity during their Ph.D. studies. Successful applicants are expected to be familiar with medical imaging analysis software. Experience with advanced imaging methods including perfusion MRI and/or PET as well as background in PET kinetic modeling will be considered as an advantage. The ideal candidate should have a strong MRI or PET background and the willingness to explore other techniques to develop new methods inventively combining these two modalities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Qualified candidates should portray selfmotivation and the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
The successful candidate will have a dual appointment to MGH Radiology and Harvard Medical School. The salary is commensurate with experience. Full benefits will be provided. The position is available immediately.
