Job Description
St. Joseph School Cockeysville is hiring a fulltime elevenmonth registered nurse for the 2526 School Year. The School Nurse will work closely with the principal teachers students and parents to maintain a healthy and safe environment at St. Joseph.
Essential Functions:
- Provide nursing assessment and treat injuries and illnesses.
- Dispense medication as prescribed
- Maintain student health records in accordance with the Health Department of MD and the Department of Catholic Schools.
- Disseminate health information to administration faculty staff students and parents as appropriate and necessary.
- Coordinate care plans and special accommodations for students
- Maintain confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.
Position Qualifications:
- Current Maryland RN license BSN preferred
- Nursing experience in a grade school setting
- Current Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR/Basic Life Support certification
- Ability to quickly and competently assess medical situations and escalate as needed
- Prior experience working with a diverse age group is preferred.
Range: $33.00 $38.00 Hourly
