Summary and Responsibility
The Department of Music in the College of Arts Media and Design Northeastern University seeks a parttime instructor to teach a course titledIntroduction to Songwriting. The description of the course follows below. This course will be offered online and asynchronously during Northeasterns summer II semester (June 30August 18 2025. The class will be capped at 25.
MUSC2210. Introduction to Songwriting. 4 Hours)
Offers an opportunity to learn to construct songs with forward motion and memorable include timeproven song forms melody writing harmonic tools lyric writing collaboration and production techniques. Emphasizes the craft of writing songs for use in film and television.
Qualifications
PhD is preferred or equivalent professional experience. Previous teaching experience at the college level and a broad knowledge of Humanities is highly desirable.
