Sledgehammer Games is looking for talented developers to join us as a member of our San Mateo team. This group will partner with our global teams in Toronto Canada and Melbourne Australia in the creation of epic content for some of the biggest games in the world. Your Mission
As a Senior Gameplay Engineer you will work closely with content teams to push our gameplay systems to new heights of fun and visual fidelity creating new systems and leverage existing ones to realize AAAquality FPS gameplay. This is a great opportunity to work with a passionate engineering team and help shape cuttingedge industry technology.
Priorities can often change in a fastpaced environment like ours so this role includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
- Collaborate with designers to create new gameplay system
- Support the design department by working on a variety of generalist tasks to facilitate their efforts
- Optimization work related to performance and bandwidth improvements
- Bug fixing and polish tasks
Player Profile
Minimum Requirements:
- 4 years of experience in games.
- Fluency in 3D math related to game programming.
- Fluency in C.
- Strong design sensibilities and outstanding communication skills.
- Staunch work ethic and high personal standards of quality.
Extra Points:
- AAA playcontrol logic especially on an FPS title.
- Modern animation techniques and blend trees.
- Networked game logic.
- Realworld AI methods.
- Rigid body kinematics.
- Extending an established code base.

These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately your specific range and offer will be based on several factors including relevant experience performance and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this roles range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates new hire compensation is negotiable.
