Job Description
POSITION:Paraprofessional Gillis Campus
Salary:$17.00 $19.00 per hour
Salary:$17.00 $19.00 per hour
(Starting salary depends on education and experience)
Job Type: Full Time
RESPONSIBILITIES:The Paraprofessional is responsible for providing classroom management in a small special education classroom using techniques to promote learning. This position assists the classroom teacher in performing classroom duties for example grading as well as providing supervision during school hours including breakfast lunch recess and in teachers absence. The Paraprofessional implements activities developed by classroom teachers provides individual instruction to students and assists the teacher in record keeping and class preparation.
QUALIFICATIONS:Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and previous experience with children and families. An Associates Degree may be considered in lieu of years of experience. Must pass background check physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid drivers license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
